Writing for me

I started this blog primarily because it is fun to start things. Therefore for the same reason as I had started my previous blog, and the one before that.

It's not always as much fun to follow through on things, or to maintain them. For that reason, I've been making a concerted effort to avoid trying to be concise, comprehensible, or even interesting.

Avoiding trying is the key part - I throw down a first draft and if it has any of those qualities, then great. But I don't agonize over them, I write all the thoughts I currently have and I hit publish.

In general this is more like a journal than something polished that I actually intend to present to anyone. Writing for my own sake, to entertain myself. Hence why most of my posts are about Linux, and of interest to no one.

Header image by eberhard grossgasteiger, because the backend doesn't make it easy to switch the type of a post. But as a quick update on HTMLy, otherwise it has been pleasant to use. It saves drafts, it lets me apply formatting. I don't ask for much else.
